Best Websites is a free, curated directory of websites across more than 20 categories, from technology and business to entertainment and travel. Each listing includes an in-depth write-up covering what the website does, who it's for, its business details, and how it compares to similar services, going well beyond a bare link and a one-line blurb so you can decide whether it's worth a visit before you click through.
When a website is added, its live page is fetched and its content is analyzed to build a structured profile covering its industry, business model, target audience, pricing, and where it sits relative to similar services. An administrator then reviews every listing, assigns it to the right category, and can rewrite or correct any part of it by hand, so the final description always reflects real information about the site rather than a generic template.
Yes. Browsing the directory, reading full listings, and following links to any website is completely free, with no account, sign-up, or payment required — and it always will be.
Listings can be refreshed at any time to update their description, category, and business details, so the directory stays current as the sites it covers change over time. Newly added websites appear immediately in the Recently Added section on the homepage, and administrators can lock in manual corrections that persist through future refreshes.
Yes. Use the Submit Your Website page to send us your website's URL, business name, category, a short description, and your contact details, and it will be reviewed for inclusion. There's no cost or guarantee of acceptance, but relevant, genuinely useful websites are always welcome.
Use the correction request or website removal request template on the Contact page. Corrections are typically applied directly to the listing, and removal requests from a website's own owner or operator are honored.
Each website is matched to the category whose profile best fits its content and stated purpose — a coding tool lands in Technology & Dev Tools, a clothing store in E-commerce & Shopping, and so on. If a site doesn't fit any specific category well, it's placed in Others. Categorization can be adjusted at any time if a listing would fit better elsewhere.
Listings are built from what a website's own page actually says about itself — its content, structure, and any information it publishes — rather than a hands-on test of every feature. Administrators review each entry before it goes live, but this isn't a certification service, so always use your own judgment before entering payment details or personal information on any listed site.
The rating reflects the directory's own curation assessment of a listing — its quality, usefulness, and trustworthiness based on its content and presentation. It's an editorial judgment, not a popularity score or a reflection of the business's real-world reputation, and it can be adjusted by an administrator at any time.
The main "Visit website" link on a listing's own page is a regular, followed link to that business's site. Other outbound links, like a listing's social media profile chips, use rel="nofollow" since they point to third-party platforms rather than the listed website itself.
